William Fisk Sept 14.1830 age 71

If Numbers suffer e'er they yield their breath

severe affliction in a lingering death

he've best his lot who ordained at once to die

without a groan a murmer or a sigh

heaven cast the arrow at his breast

and angels winged him to eternal rest

When we first visted this grave in 2001 we managed to transcribe the text, but did not have a camera to photograph it. Upon our return in Aug 2002 the stone had badly degraded and was almost unreadable.
